Agnes Hansen
Agnes Hansen was born and grew up in Estonia. In 2012, her life changed while she moved to live and work in South India. It was a discovery journey to understand the cultural differences, the uniqueness of Indian art and crafts. She met Mr. Zaffar in India. The idea of starting a partnership and running a business came many years later. The desire was to create opportunities to promote and help selling Indian crafts like shawls, rugs, home decorations outside India.
Zaffar A Shawl was born and grew up in Kashmir, India. He describes his childhood: “We introduced the Shawl trade to the world as SUFI masters use to do shawl embroidery and live in families and have embroidery centres in their homes. They used to sing SUFI songs and do the embroidery which is world famous nowadays.” Mr. Zaffar A Shawl has travelled all over the world and met with merchants from Egypt, Iran, Europe, and Middle East.
